Gunnison County Court Dockets

Gunnison County Courts With Dockets
Different docket paths exist because court jurisdiction is split. A state District Court felony setting will not be managed the same way as a municipal citation. Municipal Gunnison Court Dockets
The City of Gunnison Municipal Court is upstairs in City Council Chambers at 201 W. Virginia Avenue. It operates under Judge James R. McDonald, and Municipal Court Administrator and Court Clerk Laura Buffington can be reached at 970-641-8170 or lbuffington@gunnisonco.gov. The court generally meets about twice a month on Wednesday afternoons at 2:00 p.m., with arraignments heard first and pre-scheduled trials after that.
Municipal proceedings are open to the public, and remote observation is allowed through Zoom registration. A defendant who wants to attend arraignment remotely in certain circumstances must submit a written email request to the court administrator. Municipal citations begin with a letter followed by several numbers, and the city warns that Colorado courts have different procedures, so the citation's named court controls.

Federal Dockets Near Gunnison County
Federal cases are not Gunnison County court dockets. Use the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, PACER, the District of Colorado CM/ECF system, or the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado depending on the case type. Missed Gunnison County Court Dates
